To both secure the distribution assets and provide access for maintenance, multiple locking points have to secured and access rights carefully planned.

Wircom now uses the mechanical ABLOY PROTEC2 and electromechanical PROTEC2 CLIQ locks to secure assets, doors, gates, and cabinets. The CLIQ system is installed in the data center and super weather-proof padlocks are in use at tens of telecom towers.
If a key is lost, it can be marked as lost and its access rights revalidated, reducing the need to rekey locks.
