ALCEA announces Sponsorship agreement with Utility Security Magazine

ALCEA and the publishers of Utility Business Media, Inc. today announced a new program that will focus on continuing to provide security solutions to utility operators while expanding ALCEA’s footprint as an industry sponsor. The sponsorship expands the brand’s presence in the utility and power generation sector, with ALCEA becoming an official media partner of the new Utility Security trade publication for North America utility/critical infrastructure executives.

ALCEA is the brand formerly known as ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions – Critical Infrastructure. This promotional agreement will focus on ALCEA’s awareness of physical and cybersecurity preparedness, and advancing solutions with edge security devices.

“We have a full range of security products and devices helping protect wind farms, water utilities and others in the energy management industry,” noted Jerry Burhans, North American managing director for ALCEA. “Our sponsorship agreement with Utility Security magazine will broaden our scope and reach more decision makers looking to improve their physical security measures with proven hardware and software solutions.”

Utilities in the United States spend $1.2 billion annually on physical security measures. Utility Security magazine reaches over 15,000 critical infrastructure security professionals and decision makers representing electric, gas, water, telecommunications, internet and cable utility organizations. Many staff members have 20 years or more experience in the industry and attend all of the major tradeshows. The magazine itself will host the iP Utility Safety Conference & Expo this October in Dallas.
